Music For Moppets

Our Day Care is proud to offer an exciting option for 4,5, and 6 year olds: music classes will be made available once a week for our children.  3 year-olds will also be considered.

Studies have shown that participation in music lessons can increase concentration, physical coordination, and social skills, plus give children an enjoyable outlet for self-expression.

By taking this classes, your son or daughter will not only gain an increased enjoyment of music, but will also learn basic concepts of pitch, rhythm, and notation.

The teacher, Sally Anderson, has a B.A. degree from Eureka College.  She has also received a Certificate of Achievement for participating in a special two-year program for piano teachers a Illinois Central College. Sally is a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers.

Ms. Anderson has been active musically in the Tri-County area both as a teacher and as a performer.  She has played in musicals at Bradley University, Eureka College, Conklin Children’s Theatre, and Walnut Grove Fine Arts Association.  Sally was the accompanist for the Peoria Area Civic Chorale for six years.  She presently has a piano studio in Eureka where students receive private piano instruction.

The instructor developed “Music for Moppets” over twenty years ago.  She has successfully taught this music program for Eureka College, the Washington Park District,, a number of children centers, and privately.  Through her careful planning, each child will receive a general music background while enjoying the songs, games, and activities offered through the class.

Please discuss this opportunity with your child.  The cost of the program would be only $25.00 for a 4-week month & $30.00 for a 5-week month.

Tuition for each additional child/sibling is $20.00 for a 4-week month & $25.00 for a 5-week month.

Fun With French!

From 3-4 year olds up to Kindergarteners

This class, which will be taught by a native French speaker, will be filled with fun games and hands on activities including songs and music in French. Because the activities will be fun, creative and hands on, they will enhance your child's ability to feel comfortable and to use the vocabulary that will be taught. 

Our weekly routine will include one song around Babar’s parachute, two fun games to learn French words and a handout for the parents.

 

Tumblebus & Boogiebus

Tumblebus: is a school bus with a gymnastics center inside! It is full of colorful, soft gymnastics equipment made for pre-school age students! We come to the daycare and teach tumbling classes one day each week for a thirty minute class right inside the bus! Tumblebus is for girls and boys from the ages of 2 years of age to 6 years of age! Students are divided by age and class room, so the kids get to tumble with their friends! It is a wheelie fun bus!

Boogiebus: is a school bus with a dance studio inside! We teach our daycare students a new dance every 5-6 weeks! We teach tap, hip-hop, pom-poms, ballet, jazz and cheerleading! The kids love to dress up, we provide tap shoes, pom-poms, the tutu's, and the fun hats! Boogiebus is for girls and boys from the ages of 3 years of age to 6 years of age! Let us start your child off to a wonderful road of dance and movement education!
